Terms and Conditions
Please review Rad Rides terms and conditions carefully. All riders need to sign them to book with us. Rad Rides reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made, the revised terms and conditions shall be posted on our website immediately.
BOOKING WITH US
The booking of your stay with us will only be confirmed once we have the completed booking forms from all riders. Your dates have been selected and a 50% euro or sterling deposit has been paid into Rad Rides account.
The remainder 50% balance will be requested in Euro cash on arrival .
To secure your booking a deposit of 50% of total booking costs per person is required at time of booking. You are however able to transfer your booking to another person. They will need to complete the booking form and sign the T&C.
PAYMENT OF BALANCE
Rad Rides must receive payment of the final balance before you your first ride. If we do not receive the balance by this time, or with justifiable logged evidence to suggest otherwise, then we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled, have authority to supersede your reservation period with another booking, and the cancellation fee as described below shall apply.
CHANGES TO BOOKINGS
Rad Rides will try to accommodate for requested changes to the original details supplied with your booking, however if we cannot accommodate these changes and you wish to cancel the holidays then your deposit may not be fully refunded. We do not wish to profit from your cancellation. Your funds would go towards trail maintenance. If we are able to replace your booking with another customer or group, we would be happy to refund you.
In the event of cancellation made by you the charges listed below will apply. Rad Rides will require written confirmation. We will refund you if you cancel.
- 8 or more weeks before commencement of holiday – 50% of the deposit
- 5-7weeks before commencement of holiday – 25%% of the total cost
- 4 weeks before commencement of holiday – no refund.
CANCELLATION BY RAD RIDES
In the unlikely event we have to cancel your holiday, we will offer you either a full refund of your payment or alternative dates for your holiday with us, depending on what you prefer.
EURO EXCHANGE RATE
Our prices are in Euros (€) In case you book from a non-Euro country, we acknowledge that exchange rate from the Euro to your respective currency can change from the day of your payment of the deposit till the final balance is due. Rad Rides does not offer any monetary compensation of a possible increase or decrease of your total costs caused by changing currency rates.
Although here in Liguria we enjoy vast amounts of sunshine and warm weather it can occasionally change. Bad weather conditions can sometimes affect your riding and enjoyment of your holiday. Rad Rides cannot control the weather and to ensure the safety of our clients and staff, Rad Rides reserves the right of judgment to cancel or shorten any days of riding during your holiday. Rad Rides cannot be held responsible and no refunds can be given.
Rad Rides are not responsible for any injury to persons whilst riding and any loss, theft or damage to personal property. All guests of Rad Rides must have a EHIC card (old E111) and/or appropriate specialist travel insurance to cover them for mountain biking, helicopter rescue and repatriation costs. The details of your insurance must be available in case of an emergency on the trails.You should also be covered for cancellations and other activities they wish to partake in whilst on holiday with Rad Rides. You will be required to provide your insurance details to Rad Rides prior to riding.
SHUTTLE VEHICLES AND BIKE TRAILERS
Guests use the Rad Rides shuttle vehicles and bike trailers entirely at their own risk. Guests are responsible for the safe transit of their own bikes and must ensure that their bikes are put on the trailers securely. Rad Rides cannot be held responsible for any damage to client’s bikes during the holiday with us.
Unlikely events such as vehicle breakdown, bad traffic, accidents, adverse weather or other unexpected events can delay our shuttle service to the airport. That’s why Rad Rides cannot guarantee arrival at the airport at the pre-arranged time. Also Rad Rides cannot be held responsible for any missed flights under any circumstances nor will Rad Rides cover any consequential costs that can occur due to missed flights and a delayed departure.
SAFETY AND RIDER RESPONSIBILITY
Mountain biking is a dangerous sport and comes with certain risks. Due to the challenging nature of the trails and the amount of riding our clients will do during holiday with us, the likelihood of having an accident whilst riding is high. Rad Rids staff will take every precaution to ensure the safety of riders, however Rad Rids cannot be held responsible for any accidents, injuries or the very unlikely worst case of the death of riders whilst guided riding with us. Before any riding with Rad Rides, our clients have to sign a declaration that they have understood and accepted all associated risk of their riding during their holiday with us.
Wearing respective safety equipment can reduce the extend of injuries. An appropriate mountain bike helmet back protection or a back pack with spine protection and minimum safety protective gear is absolutely essential for a mountain biker. Rad Rides staff reserves the right to refuse to accompany any rider who is not wearing a helmet back protection and knee pads. For the more aggressive downhill riding it is strongly recommended to use a full-face or detachable chin guard helmet for added protection in the event of a heavy fall onto the face. Also suitable biking gloves are advised be worn at any time whilst riding with Rad Rides staff. As protective pads (forearm-elbow and knee-shin pads) are proven to reduce the potential severity of external wounds and can reduce the likelihood of broken bones in the event of an accident, we strongly recommend to wear appropriate pads during riding.
Rad Rides cannot guarantee the safety of each trail from one day to the next. Natural hazards like fallen trees, uneven surfaces or flooding can exist without warning, and Rad Rides cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury caused by such hazards.
ACCIDENTS AND FIRST AID
All Rad Rides staff is equipped with a basic first aid kit and respective local emergency contact details for the event of an accident. In case of an accident our staff will act to their best knowledge and experience, however they are not trained medical professionals. In case you don’t want to be treated at all by Rad Rides staff, and wait for trained professionals to arrive at the scene in the case of an accident, please advise us accordingly before your first ride (as you may be unconscious in the event of the severe fall). In addition you have to inform us about any known existing allergies to medical treatments at the time of booking.
Hirers are responsible for all damage to or loss of the bike during the period of hire up to the replacement cost of the bike if stolen.
General wear and tear such as brake pads, tyres, cables etc.. is included within the hire cost.
Payments for bike hire are normally made in advance of the holiday. If payment is to be made on arrival a deposit (credit card number and signature of authorisation) or a passport and advance cash payment for the full bike rental will be required.
rad Rides will take care to ensure that the bike is in full working order however components can malfunction.
Hirers are responsible for their own safety whilst riding any bike hired to them by Rad Rides
If one or more articles of the above terms and conditions become invalid this does not affect the validity of the other articles. The invalid article shall be replaced by another one expressing the intention of the parties as close as possible.
